Finnra works in close cooperation with the Road Administrations of its neighbouring countries. The long tradition of Cooperation with the other Nordic Countries has enabled us to develop specialised knowledge and know how needed for maintenance and construction in cold climate regions. Finnra enjoys institutional cooperation with several Road Administrations in the world, including the Nordic Countries, the Baltic Countries, Poland, Russia, Hungary, Germany, P.R.China, Vietnam, Morocco, Zambia, Ethiopia, FHWA of the USA as well as Minnesota DOT of the USA. The cooperation contains mutual development projects, engineer exchange, regular seminars and meetings as well as contacts and connections at the organizational level and at the personal level.
Finnra is a member in several international organizations as PIARC, OECD, IRF, Nordic Council, TRB. The work in these organizations include the committee and special work group as well as administrational work of these organizations.

Neighbouring area cooperation:
The cooperation with East-European countries and Russia has increased significantly. Finland's climate and geography are similar to that of our neighbours, and therefore Finnish expertise is appreciated in these countries.
